It is worthy to be mention here that during his speech at the UN General Assembly three incidents that made headlines were a stalled escalator, a malfunctioning teleprompter, and also sound error in the Assembly hall, which were highlighted by Trump as a deliberate attempts to sabotage his appearance.

Donald Trump calls it a real disgrace

Donald Trump in a post on Truth Social, said that the UN should be “ashamed” of itself. In his post, he wrote, “A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday — Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!”

Notably, the first incident occurred when the escalator came to a “screeching halt” soon after Trump and First Lady Melania Trump stepped onto it.

Trump demands arrest of those responsible for it

Pointing the same issue, Trump said, “It stopped on a dime. It's amazing that Melania and I didn't fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster. This was absolutely sabotage.” He also demanded arrest of those responsible for the incident.

First the escalator, and now a bad teleprompter

The second incident occured when Trump started his speech at 80th UN General Assembly session, and soon after the teleprompter failed. Talking about the same, he said, “Then, as I stood before a television crowd of millions of people all over the world, and important leaders in the Hall, my teleprompter didn't work. It was stone cold dark. I immediately thought to myself, 'Wow, first the escalator event, and now a bad teleprompter. What kind of a place is this?'”

Later, Trump gave a 57-minute speech without the teleprompter. Highlighting the same, Trump said, “The good news is the speech has gotten fantastic reviews. Maybe they appreciated the fact that very few people could have done what I did.”
